Im vierten von fünf Wettbewerben der 16ten FIS Snowboard Junioren Weltmeisterschaften, die noch bis zum 31. März in der spanischen Sierra Nevada stattfinden, hat es heute die heiß ersehnten ersten Medaillen für deutsche Snowboarder gegeben.

Bei den Jungs musste sich Christian Hupfauer (Feldkirchen-Westerham, 18 Jahre) nur dem bereits schon gestern im Parallel Riesenslalom erfolgreichen Russen Valery Kolegov (RUS) geschlagen geben und feierte dank des Junioren-Vizeweltmeistertitels den bislang größten Erfolg seiner Karriere.

„Ich bin wirklich sehr zufrieden“, erklärte dann auch das mit Silber dekorierte Nachwuchs-Talent. Allerdings schränkte der Bayer ein, dass „durchaus noch mehr drin gewesen wäre.“

Hupfauer hatte den ersten Finallauf klar für sich entschieden und lag im zweiten Run bis fünf Tore vor Schluss gleichauf mit seinem Kontrahenten, beging dann aber einen Fehler und stürzte. Dennoch überwog zum Schluss die Genugtuung ob des Erfolgs: „Ich habe nicht erwartet, dass ich so stark bin, weil die Ergebnisse im Europacup zuvor nicht gerade überragend gewesen sind.“

2012-02-10 // CARVING MASTERS 2012

Der mittlerweile zum Kult mutierte Saisonabschluss in Sölden mit der Wahl des „Carving Masters“ steht schon zum fünften Mal vor der Tür. Vom 24. April bis zum 1. Mai 2012 finden sie am Rettenbachgletscher in Sölden statt.

2012-02-07 // Deutsche Meisterschaften im PGS und PSL

Am 03. und 04. Februar fanden die Deutschen Meisterschaften im Parallelriesenslalom und Parallelslalom am Götschen statt.

Im Parallelriesenslalom, am ersten Tag, schied der F2-Teamrider Christian Hupfauer nach einem guten 5. Platz nach der Qualifikation nur knapp (0,21 sek) gegen Jure Hafner (SLO) im Viertelfinale aus. Am Ende blieb der 5. Platz in der Internationalen FIS- Wertung und der 3. Platz in der Deutschen Meisterschaft des PGS. Sieger wurde Alex Bergmann vor Daniel Hörig.

Beim Parallelslalom lief es deutlich besser für Christian. Wegen dem 4. Platz nach den Qualifikationsläufen, konnte er sich im Achtelfinale, das ohne Rerun stattfand, den Kurs aussuchen. Christian gewann, nachdem Maxi Köpf stürzte und ausschied. Im Viertelfinal traf Christian auf den Japaner Nofuji Yuki, indem Christian mit 1,23 Sekunden Vorsprung gewann und somit im Halbfinale auf den deutschen Patrick Bussler traf. Das Halbfinale entschied Patrick mit einem dünnen Vorsprung von 0,17 Sekunden für sich, somit also „nur“ Rennen um Platz 3 für Christian. In diesem setzte sich Christian Hupfauer knapp gegen Alex Bergmann durch und wurde somit 3 der Internationalen FIS- Wertung und Vize-Deutschermeister hinter Patrick Bussler im Parallelslalom.

Mathieu Bozzetto is one of the most outstanding personalities of F2‘s brand history. More than one decade was affected by his successful career as a professional snowboarder and his numerous victories at Olympic Games, Snowboard Championships and Worldcups.

F2 is proud to introduce the German National Team 2012. Together with their Coach and our Team manager Christian Veit, they will be competing on our brand new Proto boards.

Together with  F2 team manager Christian Veit, Markus Strecha from the German Snowboard Team spent a successful test day on the Kitzsteinhorn in Salzburg. Markus was extremely impressed by the newly developed proto 185!

"The new F2 Proto has convinced me, I will try my luck next season in the World- and European Cup with it!"

2010-04-21 // VW verkündet Fahrer im Scirocco R-Cup

Pünktlich zum Saisonauftakt 2011 verkündet VW die Fahrer, die im Scirocco R-Cup an den Start gehen. Nachwuchstalent Jonas Friedrich Giesler wird diese Saison für F2 durchstarten. Der Gymnasiast zählte zu den Favoriten bei den Junioren und wird sein Talent nun im R-Cup unter Beweis stellen.

Zu seinen wichtigsten persönlichen Erfolgen gehören die Vizemeisterschaft im ADAC Youngster Slalom Cup 2010, sowie Podestplazierungen in der Klasse KF3 DMV Kart Championship 2009. Wir Freuen uns auf das erste Rennen am 29.04./30.04. in Hockenheim.

2011-03-28 //3rd Place for Markus strecha

We are proud to announce, that Markus Strecha made 3rd place on his F2 Speedster WC Edition at the European Cup in Lachtal. After only one day of practice on the Board, which was upgraded by Christian Veit and Jerry Niedermeyer shortly before, Markus managed a strong performance.

"The board he used is actually the one I use in the daily operations as a coach. And despite of the fact, that there is still improvement to be done, he is totally thrilled."

2011-02-25 // Good results after Ispo in munich

We are very glad to have received such a positive feedback from our customers. With a booth of nearly 270m2 we could present our latest products - as well as the new Twistboard and the special „Python“ Binding system. Even the in-house tv-crew was eager to find out more of our innovative technologies and designs. This certainly results from the extensive advertising campaign we conducted before ISPO Tradeshow. The Party in occasion of the 30th anniversary of F2 was a great success, thanks to the numerous guests who joined us.

But we are sure that the ISPO Tradeshow wouldn‘t have been the same without the large number of visitors at our booth. The great interest in our products encouraged us to stay on track no matter what has happened in the past. We believe that F2 still is one of the leading brands in terms of technology and design!
